The research was carried out in October 2016 to September 2017 for one year, in order to collect the results of studies phytoplankton in the Persian Gulf and Oman Sea by Iranian researcher. Information data was collected through search of the internet, the university libraries, research organization and Institutes in the country. In this study sampling methods, density, distribution, diversity, community composition and harmful species have been develop. Phytoplankton were recorded with seven class, 334 species, according to Bacillariophyceae with 167 species, Dinophysis with 255 species, Cyanophyceae with 7 species, Euglenophyceae with one species, Chlorophyceae with two species, Dictyochophyceae with two species and Raphidophyceae with one species in the Persian Gulf part of Iranian water. Also, phytoplankton were recorded 6 class and 204 species as Bacillariophyceae with 105 species, Cyanophyceae with 6 species, and Dictyochophyceae with 2 species and silicoflagellate with one species. The species that capable of producing toxin such as: Pyrodinium bahamense, Lingulodinium polyedrum, Gymnodinium mikimotoi, Gymnodinium catenatum and Gonyaulax polygramm were observed more than in the Oman Sea compare in the Persian GulfPages
