In order to know the behavior of the prevailing climatic conditions of Jaramijó, Province of Manabí, during the dry and wet seasons of the december 2012 to november 2013 period, an analysis of the in situ monitoring data series was performed. The series were compared with data from the same period and the climatology of the meteorological station of Manta, given that it is the closest station to the study area, with a monitoring period of more than 40 years, with similar characteristics of vegetation and topography. The goal of this study was to know the annual behavior of the main parameters that characterize the area of Jaramijó: air temperature, relative humidity, wind and precipitation. From the analysis performed, it was determined that the monthly averages of Air Surface Temperature, Relative Humidity, the Wind Velocities in Jaramijó were smaller than those registered in Manta. However, there were considerable wind gusts that reached 13 m/s which were observed towards the months of september, october and november. The predominant wind direction during the year were S-SW; however winds with northern direction are highlighted during the wet season. The monthly accumulated precipitation during wet season, in the area of Jaramijó, were above the normal values and slightly above those registered on the area of the Manta station.
