First record of the blue swimming crab Portunus segnis (Forskål, 1775) in the south of the gulf of Hammamet in the Center East of the Tunisian waters.
Abstract
Le présent travail signale la présence du crabe bleu Portunus segnis (Forskål, 1775), une espèce lessepsienne, dans le sud du golfe de Hammamet au centre est de la Tunisie après son signalement dans le golfe de Gabès en 2014 et son expansion dans cette zone surtout durant les années 2015 et 2016. Deux spécimens de cette espèce ont été capturés vivants par deux pêcheurs locaux de la ville de Monastir aux environs du port de pêche à des faibles profondeurs. Le premier a été pêché à l’aide des filets maillants de fond, le 15 novembre 2016, par environ10 mètres de profondeur. Le deuxième a été capturé par une senne tournante non coulissante (lampara), le 20 décembre 2016, à environ 5 - 7 mètres de profondeur.
The blue swimmer crab Portunus segnis, a Lessepsian species, was recorded for the first time in the south of the Gulf of Hammamet coastal waters. The species was recorded before in 2014 in the gulf of Gabès where it became very common mainly in 2015 and 2016 Recently, two specimens were caught alive close to Monastir fishing harbour; The first one was caught on the 15th of November 2016 in bottom gillnet by 10 meters depth, the second on the 20th of December 2016 in a surrounding net (lampara) 5 - 7 meters depth.
