Seasonal variability of hydrological features of the Bolshaya River (Kamchatka) in 2005-2016Abstract
Analysis of temperature and hydrochemical monitoring, which was carried out in the Bolshaya R. during the period of 2005-2016, was performed. Distinctive features and patterns in seasonal dynamics of these parameters were identified. The influence of the spawning fish abundance on the total nitrogen and phosphorus content in the river was determined. Analysis of the biogenic elements concentration from May to October was made. Based on the obtained data, graphs have been plotted to show seasonal variations of the water level and temperature in the Bolshaya R. in 2005-2016. A consistent regularity in the inflow of biogenic elements in odd and even years was identified. Information on flood peaks during the investigated period is presented.
