Impact of temperature effect on the development of salmon commercial farming within the Black Sea BasinAbstract
The impact of temperature effect on the process of salmon farming in respect to the prospects of its commercial culture within the Black Sea Basin is considered. Based on the experience of the rainbow trout culture in the Russian and Turkish waters, feasibility of applying a year-round farming cycle, which is more efficient to compare with the seasonal method but is practicable only in case of submerging the cages deeper than the summer thermocline is, is discussed. Benefits of submersible cages usage for the salmon commercial farming within the Black Sea Basin are demonstrated.
