Alternative Title
Use of small fish in mixed feeds for livestock animals, poultry and fish
Abstract
Possibility to use fermented whole (not cut into pieces, with skin left on) small Azov and Black Seas fish species (sprat, anchovy, Black Sea sprat) in feed production as a source of native proteins is shown. This method offers the prospect for production of balanced complete feeds for poultry, hogs, cattle, sheep, furbearing animals, rabbits, nutrias, horses, non-livestock animals (cats, dogs), as well as for the production of both concentrated and high-protein feeds for fish. The recommended mode of raw fish fermentolysis for subsequent shaping of smooth pellets and their effective chipping with a knife is established: with the dose of enzymatic agent protosubtilin G3x being 0.5 % in relation to the fish weight, duration – 4 hours, and temperature – 54 °С, duty of water curve (hydromodulus) is not applied. It is shown that, for the adopted modes, there is no need to add sodium pyrosulphite as a preserving agent to ensure microbiological stability of fermentolysis process.
