Abstract
This study was carried Sturgeon diet in different landing places from Turkman. Tazehabad, Babolsar, Kheirud, Shirudi Shahid Hassanpour, Shahid Zareh, Shahid Adib, Shahid Pishghadam in Southern coastal area of the Caspian sea during (1991 - 1992). In this investigation contents of 93 stomach were examined, including 59 females and 34 males. Total length was measured (150 to 342 cm). The major food items in fish stomach were consist of fish, crustacea and bivalvia (90.9 %, 4.6 %, 4.5 % respectively). The first item consisted of: Liza spp. Cyprinus sp, Clupeonella spp, Rutilus sp, which were the most frequent item respectively. Also palmonidae, Cardidae. Abra ovata rarely found in stomach contents. While dominant taxa in stomach contents of females were Gobidae, in males it was Liza spp. The seasonal variation in food types was noticed. The Gobidae were the most important forage items, eaten by Huso huso in summer, autumn, spring and in winter Liza spp was the most important food for the fish.
