A survey on appearance time of Chanos chanos fry in estuaries' mouth of rivers and intherivers (because of determination their abundance and gathering time) was made in the east of Hormozgan province (from Bandar-Abbas to Chahbahar). In this survey 8 stations were chosen (Khoor-Chel, Shour, Takhterize, Tiab, Gask, Hilero, Gorgince, and Gabreek). Net was used for sampling and counting the C. chanos fry. According to this research the appearance time of C. chanos fry continues from middle of April to the end of December. Among all above mentioned stations the most frequency was found in Tiab Estuary and the least was found in Gask. The main peak of C. chanos fry abundance in Hormozgan province is in the July and October months. Examinations from C chanos fry's stomachs shows that their main plantal were: Phormidium, Oscillatoria, Diatoma, Nitzschia and Merismopedia, and zooplankton food include: Rotifera, Crustacea egg, and Foraminifora. C. chanos fry that have 0.05-3 gr weight were mostly hunted in places with least than 20 cm depth.Journal
