Tinca tincta (Linnaeus. 1958) is a local fish of Anzali lagoon. Study on parasites of this fish was carried out in the college of natural resources of Tehran University. Among collected parasites, Asymphylodora tincae (Modeer.1790) is reported for the first time from Iran. Biometrical characters of the identified parasite have been explained and it was found that 18.75% of the fishes were infected to this parasite. There was not observed any infection in fishes smaller than 14.5 cm length, Meanwhile, the bigger fishes showed more infection and there was a direct relationship between percentage of infection and length of fish.en_US
