Se encontró una nueva especie de monogeneo Mycrocotyle chromidis n. sp., para aguas cubanas, colectado en los arcos branquiales de Chromis cyanea (Poey, 1860). Se hace la descripción de Mycrocotyle chromidis n. sp. y se compara con otras especies relativas. La nueva especie se caracterizó por la presencia de un cirro diferenciado en forma de bulbo, testis numerosos (entre 24 y 29), presencia de receptáculo seminal y por la disposición y número de espinas (138 – 149) en el atrio genital.A new species of Monogenea Mycrocotyle chromidis n. sp. was found for Cuban waters, collected from gills of the marine fish Chromis cyanea (Poey, 1860). Mycrocotyle chromidis n. sp. is described and compared to related species. The new species is characterized by differentiated cirrus, forming bulbous cirri and numerous testes (between 24 and 29), by having a seminal receptacle and by the number (138 - 149) and arrangement of atrial spines.
