The objective of this study was to compare the growth parameters of imported bighead and silver carps with native Chine’s carp species stocks in Khuzestan Province as well as its survival rate and production. This study conducted in 2014. After importing frys (0.05 g) from China the they released to 5 experimental warm water breeding farms after adaptation. Study were started by selecting 3 earthen ponds (with 10000 m2 area) in each farm and was performed in triplicate sampling with one control (Shahid Maleki native species) .The ponds were treated by liming and fertilizer before filling water . Stocking density was about 3200 chine’s carp (40% Silver carp , 35% Grass carp , 20% Common carp and 5% Bighead carp ). Fish species harvested at end of culture (240 Day). Results showed that the growth rate were higher in Abzi Co. and Shahid Ansari Breeding Center with 14 g/d and 14 g/d respectively for bighead. Silver carp showed 9.8 g/d in Karoon Co., which is the highest compare to other treatments. Statistical analysis showed that pondral index was 1.1 ±0.12 for silver carp in Abzi Co. while for Bog head Karoon Co. was the highest (1.23 ±0.04). Compare to the existing situation for carp production (3700 kg/ ha) in Khozastan province silver carp was 5900 ±97 kg/ ha and Bighead was 480 ±11 kg/ ha in Shahid Maleki. In Abzi Co. production rate was higher for silver carp and bighead carp with 4630 ±61 kg/ ha and 345 ±8 kg/ ha respectively. Also in Karoon Co. production rate was 3700 ±75 kg/ ha and 350 ±12 kg/ ha for silver carp and bighead carp respectively. In Abzian Shosh Co. production rate was 4890 ±78 kg/ ha and 437 ±9 kg/ ha for silver carp and bighead carp respectively. Results showed higher growth performance in imported silver and bighead carps compare to native species. Managing farms would be the critical points for better performance in carp culture with new generation.Pages
