Abstract
The aim of this research was biochemical investigation of silver carp that have been imported from China to Iran in 1995, and are kept in Shahid Ansari fish farm. Comparing of this fish with those other fish- farm as well as bighead are also investigated. Morphological and biochemical marker by using protein and enzyme electrophoresis was the main purpose of this project. [-n401aLabouL200 broodstocks from Shahid Rajaii and Shahid Ansari fish farm were used for blood sampling. ln addition, broodstocks and fingerlings of two groups. 27 morphological factor as well as total protein, Tf, Est, MDH, LDH have tested. In morphological point of view, there was significant difference in meristic parameters of old and new silver carp groups. In case of biochemical investigation, there was a small different in protein alleles of bighead and silver carp. In protein alleles, one polyacrilamid gel(PAGE)e Hemoglobin in bighead and silver carp have been compared but no distinguishable band have found. In case of transferrin also there were B, C bands in both fish, so no special maiker that can refer to the species could found. In case of LDH the sample have been taken from different part of body, but in spite of similarity in two locus alleles of LDH-A, LDH-B, the site of LDH locus was different between two fish. This locus may can be used for distinguish of hybrid* MDH enzym of liver in the PAGE was faster in silver carp than bighead. The most important enzyme was estrase this enzyme is properly in almost all cyprinidafish. ln silver carp est, performed as a single band but in bighead as two band and probably in hybrid three band Therefor it can be refer as a good marker to distinguish hybrids of bighead and silver carp.
