Development of a system of measurement of oceanographic parameters and marine meteorologyAbstract
The development and the general characteristics that make part of the System of Measurement of Oceanographic Parameters and Marine Meteorology are explained in this article. SMPOM makes special emphasis on the general structure and the operation of meteorological software Hydras3 and the oceanographic WaveView, as well as in the structure of the Satellite Automatic weather stations, EMAS and the Buoys of Directional Surge. Having tools of latest technology, not only allows to know the ocean-atmospheric variations in real time, but also to be able to keep track of the present climatic phenomena in the main ports of the country. The potential of the information provided by the system, not only is useful for the Colombian Naval Administration, but also for different sectors such as the scientific, pedagogical and economic ones.
