Abstract
The work is devoted to research of antibiotic resistance genes content in the water bodies of the Rostov Region. PCR diagnostics of 22 water samples and 5 bottom sediments samples with subsequent electrophoretic detection have been carried out. As a result of the conducted research, presence of VIM and OXA-48 genes, as wells as tetracycline-resistance genes in the samples of water and bottom sediments taken from the Severnoye reservoir, the spring on Beregovaya St. in Paramonovsky warehouses, the Kagalnik river, and also near the city embankment of the Don River was revealed.
