dc.description.abstractThe bonds between the changes in spatial-time phosphorus distribution and its metabolic and geochemical cycles, the water masses dynamics in the largest of the deep-water areas of the Baltic is considered. The significance of phosphates mobilization in corpuscular form in spring, and summer thermocline formation in the decrease of phosphorus abundance in photosynthesis zone is shown. The distribution of phosphorus between the conventional hydrochemical forms for different water layers is illustrated, the role of Fehumatic floccules in the increase of downwards phosphorus transportation are discussed. The release of phosphates from bottom sediments in anaerobic, or close to them, conditions periodically appearing in near bottom layer increases the deep-water stock of phosphorus and simultaneous heterogeneity of the basin. The velocity of phosphorus accumulation in water layer for Fore and Gotland Deeps during the stagnation is calculated, and the tendency of its increase for the last one in 70th is revealed. The phosphorus bonds with 02-HoS system components are discussed and approximated. The long-term data are given as isopleths that allows following the development of stagnant phenomena, to reveal their duration, to define separate stagnations near bottom. It's shown that the influx of Kattegat waters by the active and near-bottom deep-water layers is a powerful factor that distributes illustrated by the profiles of phosphorus distribution on the basin cross section. The phosphorus outflow from the Fore Deep is proposed to be considered as a periodically functioning factor taking part in the formation of biogenous conditions in the sea area between the Saaremaa, the Fore and the Northern Deeps.en_US
