Las arribazones de macrófitas y Physalia physalis (Linnaeus, 1758) en playas al norte de La Habana, Cuba.

Abstract
El presente estudio se realizó entre los meses mayo/2018 a mayo/2019 en cinco playas de Habana del Este (Cójímar, Bacuranao, Tarará, Mégano y Santa María). Se ubicaron transectos (50 m) paralelos a la línea de la costa y, en puntos aleatorios previamente estimados, un marco cuadrado de 25 x 25 se trasladó perpendicularmente al transecto hasta abarcar el ancho de franja de arribazón de macrófitas en el mesolitoral. Se pesó la biomasa de macrófitas en cada punto y se anotaron el número de colonias de Physalia physalis por transecto. Además, se recolectaron las especies encontradas para su posterior identificación en el laboratorio. Fueron identificadas un total de 111 especies de macrófitas (107 macroalgas y cuatro angiospermas marina) en su mayoría dominadas por Sargassum spp. de vida pelágica. Las mayores arribazones de macrófitas y de la fragata portuguesa ocurrieron en los meses de mayo/2018, noviembre, diciembre, enero y marzo; y las playas con mayores reportes fueron Tarará, Mégano y Santa María. Según la prueba de correlación de rangos de Spearman las arribazones de macrófitas y P. physalis están relacionadas en el período de muestreo. Se presentaron las mayores arribazones con velocidades del viento superiores a los 33 km/h, fundamentalmente desde el norte, altura de las olas mayores de 1.5 m y con temperaturas inferiores a 30oC, relacionadas con frentes fríos o alguna situación sinóptica atípica.
This study was made from May/2018 through May/2019 in five beaches of East Havana (Cojímar, Bacuranao, Tarará, Mégano and Santa María). Transects (50 m) were located parallel to the shoreline and, in points previously estimated, a quadrant of 25 x 25 cm was flipped perpendiculary to the transect until covering the width of the strip of macrophytes wrack in the intertidial. Macrophytes biomass was weighed in every point and the number of Physalis physalis individuals was scored on each transect. Furthermore, all found species were collected for indentification in the lab. It was indentified 111 species of macrophytes (107 macroalgaes and four marine angiosperms), in great part domminaded by pelagic Sargassum spp. The highest biomass of macrophytes and number of Portuguese Man o´War colonies ocurred within months May/2018, November, December, January and March; and the highest report beaches were Tarará, Mégano and Santa María. According to Spearman Rank Correlation, the macrophytes wrack and the number of P. physalis individuals are related in the sampled period. The highest scores were presented with wind velocity above 33 km/h, fundamentally from the north, wave height above 1.5 m and with temperatures lower 30oC, related with cold winds or some synaptic situation.
