Remote-sensing data from satellites proved to be useful for ocean monitoring. But there are few cases which were utilized for the research of dispersion processes of coastal water. In this paper, LANDSAT images are compared with actual observations to investigate coastal processes in the Goto Sea area, and the west coast of the Tugaru Peninsula. The results of analysis in Tatibana bay (Goto Sea area), can explain the flowing out process of coastal water, and seems to be in agreement with the tracking results of the drifting article.Journal
