At even a place where neither oceanic currents nor outflow from a river is expected, the tidal currents are deformed by the configuration of the coast or by the existence of an island and constant current or rather large shallow water components of current are observed. Such phenomena in the Seto Naikai are shown and the special condition of the configuration are examined. Based on the results of continued current measurements for 112 days or 30 days, the variation in the daily mean currents are analysed at several places in the Seto Naikai.en_US
