A systematic revision of the species of BenthobrookulaClarke, 1961 from the Southwestern Atlantic Ocean was carried out. The globose protoconch, sculptured with a reticulate pattern, is recognized as a diagnostic character for the genus. Benthobrookula exquisitaClarke, 1961 and B. powelliClarke, 1961 are redescribed and Cyclostrema calypsoMelvill & Standen, 1912, Brookula pfefferiPowell, 1951 and Brookula strebeliPowell, 1951 are redescribed and allocated to Benthobrookula. Benthobrookula strebeli is validated on the basis of the study of topotypical specimens. Two new species are described: Benthobrookula argentina from South Georgia and Benthobrookula paranaensis from off Brazil. A new allocation of Scalaria brevis d'Orbigny, 1840 to Benthobrookula is proposed.Journal
