Abstract
The analysis of intra-annual fluctuations of distribution of sea surface temperature and salinity in the Colombian Pacific basin is presented. It is shown, that the basic mechanism for the fluctuations of the sea surface temperature distribution depends on the annual cycle of the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) and the wind conditions connected to it, that causes the change of intensity of Humboldt Current and Equatorial Counter-Current. Also a change of the wind and currents conditions, as well as the distribution of thermocline depth depends on it. The distribution of salinity in Colombian Pacific depends on the intensity of precipitation and drain of the rivers. The basic intra-anual periods of fluctuations of sea surface temperature and salinity in Colombian Pacific and charge of San Juan river, are determined. The interannual fluctuations of drain of the Colombia Pacific rivers were observed in connection with fluctuations of Southern Oscillation Index (S01).
