Abstract
The reproduction study of Mustelus mustelus was conducted on specimens collected at artisanal fishery in Nouadhibou, Mauritania. Monthly samples of hundred individuals have allowed to collect data on the reproduction of this specie. The sex ratio is lightly favourable to the females. The impregnation of oocytes occurs during all the year but with a great peak in july-august. The gestation lasts between 8 and 10 months. The parturition takes place in february and continues until may. The specimens measure at birth between 240 and 320mm. The fecundity varies with length of females. During this study period, it varies between 1 and 10 embryos by pregnant female.
