dc.description.abstract | During the present study carried out around the Galápagos Islands a total of ten species were registered including 3 genus: Sagitta, krohnitta and Pterosagitta. The genus Sagitta represented the biggest number of species S. enflata and S. pacifica were very abundant with the 35% and 26% respectively, the same ones that were in all the stations and represented a distribution relatively homogeneus in the area of study. Another species of genus Sagitta registered a common and relative abundance among them a S. hexaptera with a 5% after that S. bierii, S. bedoti with 2% each one and the species S. reguíaris and S. pulchra with a low 1%. Some specimenes don't contribute a clear identification because they registered a juvenil characteristic that corresponds to 24% a sagitta sp. Besides the genus Krhonitta and Pterosagitta were found, these represented two and one species respectively, species that represent a rare relative presence K. subtilis showed 3% while K. pacifica and P. draco together with one percent. Finally there are confirmed the existence of upwellings areas located in the south of Isabel Island, because of presence of S. hexapter and K. Subtilis whose habitat are intermediate and deep water and can be considered a indicator of upwellings. | en |
