Los ensayos ecotoxicológicos como una alternativa para la evaluación del impacto ambiental, evaluación de una molécula de interés

Abstract

In the last years, the world has taken concious of the necessity of monitoring the impact of contaminants from social and productive activities of modern societies on ecosystems to solve this problem a series of test have been achieved and yet are tried to be improved which are directed to especific aspects of ecosystems. In our country different institution have joined efforts to give an answer related to the evaluation of compounds used in agriculture. This work is coordinated by Toxicological National Center of Cuba (CENATOX) and has assigned to each member of the national toxicological net the task of standardizing reliable test for a rapied and well aimed answer in this sense. As members of this net, the Center of Bioactive Chemicals Toxicological group and Plants Biotecnological Institution both belongin to the Central University of Las Villas, have the task standardizing test to measue toxicological breaking point on plants, birds, sworms, and bees, wich are a useful tool to evaluate the impact of possible contaminants on ecosystem. With this work we pretend to give a panorama with practical results obtained by us in this sense and the possibilities wich are opened in the central region of Cuba in the ecotoxicological field.
