Twenty four and twelve coastals stations were analyze in Manta during the event La Niña 1999 - 2000, graphic of the (with a net of 50u) and the relation with the parameters physical and quimical. The physical conditions during the development of "La Niña 1999-2000" event, were not continued as a defined pattern, showing particular characteristics for each region of the south Pacific ocean. In Ecuador was evidented that the biological productivity creased considerally in the Libertad during the year 2000 before evidencing the upwelling with chlorophyll nucleus creasing of the abundance relative. The main species with mayor cell density in the Libertad were Chaetoceros affinis, Rhizosolenia hebetata, R. stolterfothii, Thalassiosira subtilis, Leptocylindrus danicus. The species representatives in Manta were with mayor cell density in the three cruises were Hemiaulus sinensis, Rhizosolenia imbricata, Chaetoceros curvisetus, Ch. coarctatus, Dityllum brighTwelli which showed variability in their distribution, shaping high nucleus cells.
