The effect of zeolite as feed additive in postlarvae and juvenile Litopenaeus schmitti was evaluated (0.8 ± 0.02 mg and 2.35 ± 0.1 g initial average weight respectively). The bioassays had duration of 30–50 days. Practical diets that were elaborated with conventional raw materials and including different zeolite levels were attempted. Survival in post larvae and juveniles was not affected by zeolite levels tested. Postlarvae fed with diet containing 1% of zeolite reached the highest growth (p<0.05). Feed conversion ratio was improvement when zeolite was included in diets in both experimental groups. The relation of zeolite inclusion level (Z) in post larvae diet with final weight (FW) was described by the following quadratic equation: FW = 25.587 + 4.9327 Z – 2.7455 Z2 (R2=0.69), which suggested that optimum zeolite inclusion level in practical diets was 0.9%.
