Mathematical model of the Ciénaga Grande de Santa Marta ecosystem.Abstract
The structure of the chemical – biological block of two-dimensional mathematical model of ecosystem and shallow reservoir and his methods of calibration is described in detail. The model includes the balance equations for the following components of ecosystem: phytoplankton, bacteria, zooplankton, dead (organic) matter, phosphate, ammonium, nitrite, nitrate and dissolved oxygen. Results of calculations of spatial distribution of several components of the ecosystem for the Ciénaga Grande de Santa Marta coastal lagoon (Colombia) in various seasons of year are given.Se describe detalladamente la estructura y calibración del bloque químico-biológico de un modelo matemático bidimensional, de un ecosistema de aguas someras. Este modelo incluye las ecuaciones de equilibrio para los componentes del ecosistema tales como: fitoplancton, bacterioplancton, zooplancton, materia orgánica muerta, fosfatos, amonio, nitritos, nitratos y oxígeno disuelto. Se presentan los resultados de los cálculos de distribución espacial de los componentes de un ecosistema en la Ciénaga Grande de Santa Marta, para cada época de año.
