The presence of Sphyrna tudes in Colombian waters is supported by a 506 mm total length male collected in the southernmost corner of the Caribbean Sea, the mouth of Atrato river. A short discussion on the confusing taxonomic and nomenclatural history of the smalleye hammerhead is included.La presencia de actitudes Sphyrna en aguas colombianas con el apoyo de un 506 mm de longitud masculino total de lo recaudado en la esquina sur del Mar Caribe, la desembocadura del río Atrato. Una breve discusión sobre la historia confusa taxonomía y nomenclatura del tiburón martillo smalleye está incluido.
