The Waved Albatross, a threatened Ecuadorian endemic bird, is protected by national and international laws andagreements, in spite of which, 43 that had been ringed on the island of Española, Galapagos, were found killed off thecoast of Peru, at least 34 of them by incidental fishing. International collaboration is required for the effectiveconservation of this species.Journal
