Abstract

Durante la II Expedición Ecuatoriana a la Antártida, se llevaron a cabo los trabajos hidrográficos tendientes a elaborar la Carta Hidrográfica IOA 7 como apoyo al conocimiento del área marina Antártica en el sector de las Islas Shetland del Sur para proyectos de investigación científica, seguridad en la navegación y determinación de áreas de fondeo.
During the II Ecuadorian Antarctic Expedition, hydrographic work was performed leading the elaboration of Nautical Chart IOA 7 as support to different studies to be carried out at the surveyed area in the South Shetland Islands region and to the safety of ships and determination of anchoring sites.
