Addition to the diatom microflora in cuban marine waters.Abstract
Information is presented on diatom species Campylostylus normannianus (Greville) Gerloff, Natour & Rivera found in Jigüey Bay. This species had not been identified in taxonomic studies of Cuban microalgae, so that it may be considered a contribution to the nation's marine microalgae diversity. This is a taxon that grows in hypersaline environments. However, in this ecosystem it is accompanied by other diatoms taxa that are abundant and typical of mangrove ecosystems.
