The rediscovery of the damselfish Stegastes otophorus (Poey, 1860) in Cuba is recorded. The localization of six demes with information on the habitat, behaviour, and feeding habits of one of them is also given. The living coloration of a juvenil and one adult from two different demes are described. In order to facilitate comparisons, three juveniles and two adults from Cuba, are illustrated. The adoption of “diablo azul” as a common name is proposed.Journal
