dc.description.abstract | During the years 1965-66 the material for the morphological and biological characterization of sprat Sprattus sprattus balticus was collected in various parts of the Gotland Deep (Baltic Sea) and adjacent areas. The sexual dimorphism and variations in the meristic and plastic features were studied. Based on the morphological analysis it was concluded that in the central and southern Gotland Basin one abundant sprat stock is distributed. The sprat of the Gulf of Gdansk represents another stock and the third stock dwells in the Bornholm Deep area. | |
