The aim of this thesis was to evaluate the effect of environmental variables on the productivity pulses (in terms of abundance of zooplankton organisms and Chl-a concentration) and zooplankton natural mortality, in different EBB sites, taking into account the dynamics of the tide (ebb) and prevailing winds. With this purpose, 18 samplings were conducted during the months of May and October of 2018 in three specific areas with different degrees of anthropogenic alteration: Puerto Cuatreros (PC), Ing. White (IW) and Puerto Rosales (PR). At each site, environmental variables including temperature, salinity and pH were measured, and surface water samples were taken to determine the concentration of particulate matter in suspension (SPM), particulate organic matter (POM), chlorophyll a (Chl-a) and phaeopigments. In addition, zooplankton samples were taken by horizontal or vertical hauls with pore size net of 200 µm and 60 µm, which were subjected to the colorimetric method of neutral red to evaluate the mortality in terms of relative mortality of zooplankton (n ° ind. deaths / total number of ind of the sample - discriminating sex and stages).
