Fishery and biological aspects of the principal fish of the water system in the Los Ríos province, during 2009Abstract
Durante el 2009 (excepto mayo, agosto y septiembre), se analizaron un total de 3 772 especímenes de peces conformados por 16 especies, predominando la dica con 1561 individuos (42,3%), las menos capturadas fueron róbalo y chame con un individuo cada una (0,03%). La proporción de sexo macho hembra, talla promedio de captura y media de madurez sexual de las principales especies de peces fue: dama (1: 1,16; 23,7 y 20 cm LT), dica (1: 1,15; 17,3 y 16 cm LT), guanchiche (1: 1,2; 29 y 20 cm LT), ratón (1: 1,25; 23,5 y 19 cm LT) y bocachico (1:1,06; 21,6 y 20 cm LT). En los estadios de madurez sexual, la mayoría de las especies se encontraron en estadio I y II correspondientes a individuos hembras inmaduras; sin embargo, para el guanchiche predominaron las hembras en estadios III, IV y V (55%) y en los machos: dama (66%) y ratón (58%) predominaron los estadios III, IV y V, respectivamente. Los sitios de captura de peces más representativos fueron las pozas (70%).During 2009 (except May, August and September), a total of 3772 fish specimens comprised of 16 species, dica, were analyzed, the dominant specie was dica with 1561 specimens (42.3%), the less captured were róbalo and chame with only one individual for each specie, (0.03%). The male female sex ratio, and average catch size and average sexual ripeness of the main fish species were: dama (1: 1.16, 23.7 and 20 cm TL), dica (1: 1.15, 17, 3 and 16 cm TL), guanchiche (1: 1.2, 29 and 20 cm TL), ratón (1: 1.25, 23.5 and 19 cm TL) and bocachico (1:1, 06, 21, 6 and 20 cm TL). At sexual maturity stages, the majority of species such were found in stage I and II, these were individual immature females, however, for the guanchiche females in stages III, IV and V (55%) were dominant and regarding to males: dama (66%) and ratón (58%) dominated the stages III, IV and V, respectively. The main fish catch sites were ponds (70%).
