Of tha analysis of 15 sub tidal benthonic stations, obtained of 3 to 22 m. of depth, with a dredge type Van Veen and of 15 intertidal stations in the intertidal zone, using quadrants of 1 m2 and 25 cm. of each side, from the limit of the high tide to the limit of the low tide, in the Bay of Manta port, during april 2011. The benthonic macro-fauna was represented by 41 species of benthonic organisms, distributed in 6 Phylum (filum), of which, Phylum mollusk, is most abundant with 31 species, of which 18 are Bivalves, 12 Gastropods and 1 Scaphopod. The 5 Phylum less abundant were represented by 10 species: In Coelenterate (anemones and Renilla sp.); Platyhelminthes (Tricladida); Arthropod (Isopods, Cirripedia (Tetraclita sp.) and the anomura Emerita ruthbunae); Sipuncula and Echinodermata (Heliaster microbrachius, Echinometra vambrunti and mellita longifissa). In the Bay of Manta, the most abundant species is the gastropod Olivella semistriata, located in profile 1, it represents 53.4% of all intetidal malacofauna on the rocky substrate, the bivalve Brachidontes adamsianus, it is the second more abundant specie with 11.5%.
