Macroalgae and seagrasses comprise a group of submerged marine plants which play an important role in the Mida Creek ecosystem. They form an important food base to a diverse group of marine organisms, provide shelter and contribute to the substrate stabilization in the creek. The purpose of the survey of macroalgae and seagrasses is to give a descriptive analysis of the species diversity and to map their distribution patterns in Mida Creek. This report highlights the species diversity and the general distribution patterns of the flora in Mida Creek.Page Range
