Alternative Title
The Calceostomatidae (Monogenea), parasitic in teleosts in Tunis Gulf: Larval development and systematic position
Abstract
The swimming larvae of 3 Monogeneans (Monopisthocotylea) Dicrumenia bychowskyi Mamaev, 1961, Calceostomella inerme (Parona et Perugia, 1889) and Calceostoma calceostoma, Wagener, 1857), are studied here. The larval haptors of these 3 spp are compared to the haptors of the corresponding adults. Some details are given about some post-larval stages (forming of the hoks, disposition of the excretory system). The facts which have been observed prove that the Calceostomatidae are no exception among Monopisthocotylea and must be related to Ancyrocephalidae.
