Pink shrimp (Parapenaeus longirostris Lucas) in Tunisian waters.Abstract
The rose shrimp is reported in Tunisia, where it is abundant. Although fishing in Tunisia was targeting only the red prawn Panaeus caramote, who lives on muddy bottoms and river mouths, as Medjerda in the Gulf of Tunis; as soon as the fishermen have begun trawling further offshore in deeper waters of mer neuve, the pink shrimp Parapenaeus longirostris then became a frequent and abundant species.Pages
