According to designs randomized totally with three repetitions were carried three experiments in Clarias gariepinus fingerlings (0,9 g ± 0,01 g of average initial weight), the inclusion of soybean meal (SM) like partial substitute of the fish meal (FM) in the commercial concentrate (CC) that is give in fingerling stage of this specie were evaluated, as well as the partial replacement of this CC for the chemical silage made of gonads (spawns) of fish and of meat by-products. The results showed that the substitution of 12,5 % and 25 % of FM for SM didn’t affect the growth of the animals (9,7 g; 9,6 g and 9,9 g of average weight), although the alimentary efficiency was smaller (p < 0,001) with the highest substitution percentage. The use of 30 % and 50 % of spawns silage provided same final weight (9,7 g, 9,9 g and 10,5 g) and alimentary conversion (1,39; 1,38 and 1,4) than fish that consumed the CC. There were not significant effects in the productive indicators (9,7 g and 9,2 g of final weight and 1,39 and 1,36 of alimentary conversion) when including 30 % of meat by-product silage in the CC. The economic evaluation indicated that the costs were smaller with the three variants applied regarding the CC in the obtaining of 22 million of fingerling of 10,0 g average weight established for the Aquaculture National Direction in 2014. The soybean provided a saving of $ 23 091,20, the gonads silage $ 88 906,40 and meat by-products $ 79 041,60.en_US
